How do you use an image API for lead generation?
When a lead is created, call an image API with that lead’s name, company, and logo, then store the returned URL on the record. Layerre renders a Canva template. It does not find the leads.
The lead still comes from the form, the ad, or the CRM. An image API does not find people. It decorates the record you already have, so the email or the landing page can show a visual that names that company instead of one banner for the whole list.
| Step | System | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Lead created | CRM or form | Name, company, logo URL |
| Render | Layerre API or Zapier | Image URL |
| Send | Email tool | Message with that image |
What to put on the card
Keep the layout in Canva: your colors, a short offer, and holes for the company name and a logo. Map company, first_name, and logo_url. The logo has to be a public image URL. A website homepage is not a logo file. If you do not have a logo, leave a text-only version of the template so a missing image does not punch a hole in the card.
Where to call it
Zapier or Make is enough when the form and the email tool are already connected and volume is modest. A direct API call fits when the lead is created in your own app and you want the image URL stored before the sales email goes out. Either way, write the URL onto the record. Rendering again on every page view spends credits and slows the page.
What this will not do
It will not buy the ads, score the lead, or write the email body. Those stay in Meta, the CRM, and the email tool. The image is the personalization. Volume is render credits: 50 free, then $15 a month for 500. One lead, one image, one credit.
Request shape: API docs. Personalized images in general: generate personalized images at scale.
